Let's clarify that being a smartphone as description pertains to the software, and not to the hardware. They argue that the absence of heat in the charger when the battery indicator reaches 100% is an attribute of a smartphone, which I object. Even an ordinary phone when plugged with a good charger can become cold after awhile when the battery indicator reaches 100%. The trick is not on the software but on the hardware by using IC, integrated circuit or feedback circuit which cut the the electric current when the battery reaches a specific voltage.
