The Message
When the earthquake in Bohol had started to shake the ground and the neighboring region, people were panic and many cried for the death of their loved ones. What is the message of Bohol earthquake? The message is that anytime death may come to anybody. Nobody knows when the death will come.

So what is the point of living before death since death may come at any moment? Death teaches us to look for more important thing than the temporary life on earth. Are you considering eternity than this life on earth? If so, God or an Ultimate Being enters into the scene after Bohol earthquake or any calamity. When death happens everything that are left on earth are "useless". But when we come into close relationship with God through faith, after death there is meaning.

Further Reflection
St Paul says, run and win the race. While living, let us center our focus on loving God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our strength, and with all our soul. In Jesus' words, those who love me obeys me. We may start reviewing the ten commandments as the initial step. Our life must center into our relationship with God so that life is worth living even in facing unpredictable death. Therefore any activity will anchor on our relationship with God through faith. We may ask this question, "Is this activity promote close relationship with my God or not?"

If you believe in the message of Bohol earthquake you will stick to winning the race, that is to have a close and loving relationship with God. Remember, at any moment death may come like a theft in the night.
