8hours2live: A successful stevedore father, well applauded

Common, ordinary job like stevedore whose job is to unload or load goods with overflowing sweat and dirt did not prevent Mr. Carlito Pasigay to be successful in his own way. His daily hardwork to support his family had born good fruits of success. His son Jace Pasigay (inset) became a valectorian in Pedro E. Diaz High School. He is not only molded intellectually but also he is raised well by the teachings and examples of his father, like being responsible, caring, thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of the family, patient and enduring, positive and hopeful. As Jace Pasigay puts it in his reminiscing letter:

"Ilang taon man ang lumipas. Ang pangalan, at ang yong mga ngiti ay nakatatak sa aking isipan. At ang iyong pagmamahal at pag aaruga, ay laging nakatanim sa aking puso."

"...Even if years would pass, your name and your smile do still remain in my memory. And your love and care are sown in my heart forever...".

These are the words of undying gratitude of a thoughtful son. This is also a proof Mr. Pasigay's success in his simple life. In fact as Jace had vested his father with his academic medals after awarding of honors, his father had not able to hide the tears of overwhelming joy. Though he is not my father but I am proud of this man. And many give their applause and praise to him in the school and also in the social media. Such a good example of truly a good, provident, loving, simple father to the whole Philippines. Though Jace father had passed away but his spirit will still be felt among his family, friends, co-workers and others because of his good values that are being instilled in the heart of his son.

Good luck to the future teacher sir Jace and hopefully you become the conveyance of good values and inspiration to your students. Kudos!
